Lobster Season
The only time one can fish, or dive for lobster is during the lobster season. The natural tendency of lobsters living in warm temperatures has made the warmer seasons the ideal lobster season.
If one wants to dive for lobsters during the lobster season, one must note that during the beginning of the season, lobsters tend to be in shallow waters, between 10 to 40 feet. As winter storms come, lobsters go deeper around 60 feet to 100 feet to seek refuge. The frequent storms during the winter force lobster population to migrate to deeper waters because there, the effect of the storms are hardly felt. During this season, the harvesting of lobsters is the most difficult and challenging. Toward the end of the winter season, lobsters then go back to its previous habitat.
The lobster seasons are mostly year round with the exception of winter seasons. The actual dates of lobster season vary from year to year, but it is usually it’s the first Wednesday of October to the first Wednesday after the 15th of March. There are other aspects on how the lobster season starts. One aspect is the location of the fishing grounds, in warmer areas of the globe; the lobster season starts a month before spring to a month after winter, with summers as intervals. Another view depends on the type of lobsters to be harvested. New shell lobsters are abundant during July October, American lobsters during March to December, while spiny lobsters are available in great supplies all year round. Commercial lobster season however is year-round, except for some areas that are self managed zones.
Lobster season entails a lot of regulations when it comes to harvesting. There are rules like lobsters must be caught only in traps. They must always keep a log of the exact number of lobsters they catch. The inshore fishermen are limited to only 800 traps per license, and they can only fish from sunrise to sunset. Recreational lobster fishers must also abide with a maximum catch per day on a minimum length lobster. All of these restrictions are for the guarantee that lobsters won’t be overharvested.
Throughout the lobster season, it’s important to note how deep the lobsters are for better results for your recreational or commercial harvests. Also, abide the restrictions and limits that are in place to make sure that the supply of lobsters for the next lobster season is adequate for everyone.

If you want to start a successful catering business, then you should be prepared to do everything that is necessary to make the client happy and satisfied. When doing Halal catering, it is best to make sure that the menu does not have any pork. Caterers should also make sure that it is carrion free. When serving other forms of meat, make sure that the blood is completely drained. Make sure that all meat products are cooked well since meats that are not cooked well enough tend to be bloody. All animals that are not killed in the name of Allah should not be used either which is why it is best to do a little research to find out the exact names of the animals that you should never serve in a Halal catering.
Alcoholic drinks are also prohibited in Halal catering. This includes food that has been cooked with alcoholic drinks as well. If you are not sure if a drink can be qualified as an alcoholic drink or not, don´t take chances and just look fro other drinks to serve. IF you think that you have nothing else to serve, better think again. Serving lamb cutlets and cubed cheese is allowed in Halal catering. Also, consider doing vegetarian food if you are finding it hard to differentiate the kinds of meat that you are allowed and not allowed to serve.
Serving rice dishes is also recommended in Halal catering. Other options include sandwiches and bite size all vegetarian snacks. Salads are also highly recommended in Halal catering.

Lobster Shipping
Lobster shipping is quite easy for a person who wants to start a lobster delivery business, or for a person who wants to have lobsters delivered live right on their doorstep. Follow these simple tips and guidelines so that a fresh, and live lobster is shipped right on the doorstep of the prospective customer.
During lobster shipping, it is important to note that there are two key things that keep lobsters alive, make sure they remain cool and moist at all times. Lobster deaths during shipping are caused by deprivation of oxygen. The key thing is to make lobsters cool because the cooler the lobster is, the less oxygen it uses. If the temperature is higher, the probability of a lobster drying out is higher because the lobster uses up a lot of oxygen. The gills on a lobster must remain moist to work and function properly. When handled properly, lobsters can live out of water for four to five days.
During lobster shipping, keeping them moist need not be submersion in water; in fact lobsters are much better off being out of water during shipment. Refrain from packing them directly on ice because melted ice can become a problem. A lobster in fresh water can swell up and burst. Do not use dry ice either because of the lobsters can suffocate from carbon dioxide.
Create the right temperature for lobster shipping. Stored lobsters at 45 to 50 degree Fahrenheit can be shipped at 32 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to regulate and control the temperature because too much temperature change can cause stress and eventual death for the lobster. Also, do not freeze the lobster by allowing the temperature to go down to 29 degrees Fahrenheit, the same freezing point for saltwater.
It is important to note that during lobster shipping, do not feed the lobsters. Lobsters should not be even fed two days before the shipping because a full stomach consumes more oxygen and increase the incidence of vomiting.
Finally pack the lobsters tight enough that they will not get damaged during shipping. Do not cram them close together because they might use up all the oxygen and die of carbon dioxide poisoning.
Just remember these lobster shipping advices and you can enjoy getting fresh lobsters delivered to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy the taste and flavor of lobster in your plate.

Planning a wedding event certainly means everything has an associated cost with it. Catering for weddings is perhaps the most expensive part of a wedding day. However you need not spend too much for a catering service. You just have to know what to include in your wedding reception.
The best way to bring down the costs of catering for weddings is to have your reception buffet-style. Generally caterers charge lower for a buffet-style catering service than a waiter style service. This is because there is lesser manpower involved and fewer staff will be paid. There will also be less work in the kitchen giving the caterers lesser time to labour on some menial stuff. All these amount to a lesser catering service bill.
Stationary appetizers are another way of lowering the cost of catering for weddings. Instead of having waiters serve the appetizers to the guest, strategically station appetizers to 3 or 4 different spots. This not only lowers the cost of you food bill, it also allows your guests to mingle with one another. This also allows you to avoid overcrowding the guests in one particular spot.
Provide your own alcoholic beverages such as wine and alcohol. This will help you save a lot in your budget on catering for weddings. Think about it: if you include the alcoholic beverages in the catering service, they will charge extra. As most reception areas require some sort of corkage fee, the catering service will be forced to burden you with paying for that fee. Providing your own alcoholic beverages like beer and wine will cost less and will enable you to purchase them in bulk.
Cupcakes are the craze nowadays. Aside from this being cheaper than a big cake, caterers will be able to design individual cupcakes not only to make it look more attractive, but also make it tastier. Most of the time traditional wedding cakes are made or consists of fondant. It looks nice and gives the cake smoother appearance, but it tastes awful and tastes more like paste. Besides it costs more to have a wedding cake made from fondant. However cupcakes are fully edible and aside from the fact that they come in many servings, you won´t have any problems in having a lot of leftovers for your cupcakes.
